The following article will show you how to tag contacts for the purpose of creating campaigns targeted at them.
Step 1:
In the HQ+ menu under Contacts, Select Tagging.
Step 2:
Select Tag to view a list of tags and create new ones.
Step 3:
Create a new tag by selecting New Tag
Step 4:
Name your New Tag & Select Save.
PRO TIP: Create a name that reflects how you want that tag to be used or a category that the tag is in. E.g. Retired, Young family, Small business.
Step 5:
You will now see your newly created tag on the list of tags.
Step 6:
Begin tagging your contacts by selecting the checkmark box beside them, one by one.
Step 9:
When you've finish selecting, go back to the Tag drop down menu and select the new tag you wish to apply.
PRO TIP: If you want to campaign to ALL your contacts, click the check box beside the TAG drop down and this will select all your clients.
Step 10:
Go to the next page and rinse & repeat till you've finished.
Additional Tips:
1. You can tell that you have tagged your clients with the correct tags when you see a number in the bracket beside the tag which tells you how many people you have tagged with a particular tag. This is a very good for estimating the amount of postcard credits you need or the number of calls you can expect the calling centre to make, as part of a postcard and/or calling campaign targeted at them.
